Holt & Bugbee sells hardwood
lumber that has been graded according to the exacting
specifications of the National Hardwood Lumber Association
(NHLA). The result is the most perfect grading possible
with very little human error.
Pine lumber grades differ from
hardwood and fall under the jurisdiction of the Northeastern
Lumber Manufacturers Association (NELMA).
Current hardwood and softwood
species include: Adler, Anegre, Ash, Basswood, American
and European Beech, Baltic, Paper and Yellow Birch,
Butternut, Eastern Red and Spanish Cedar, Cherry, Cypress,
Hickory, Jatoba, Lyptus, African and Genuine Mahogany,
Hard and Soft Maple, Red and White Oak, Eastern White
Pine, Yellow Poplar, Sapele, Teak, Utile and Walnut.
Each specie exudes a distinctive
personality that matches the task and the aesthetics
of its intended use.
